Ernest Jones popped up on the injury report this week with some knee swelling, missing the first two days of practice. Sean McVay said from the start that he expects Jones to play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but he’s not certain to be available.
McVay told reporters before practice on Friday that Jones is going to be questionable to play against the Cardinals, as will Larrell Murchison and Joe Noteboom. Murchison is dealing with a knee injury like Jones, while Noteboom is still battling a groin injury that caused him to miss Week 5.
McVay still expects Jones to play, saying he’s progressed as expected and is “feeling good.”
Everyone else should be good to go for Sunday’s game, according to McVay, including Kevin Dotson, Christian Rozeboom and Ben Skowronek, who were all limited Thursday.
If Noteboom is able to play, McVay said they will discuss whether he would start at right guard, which is a position Dotson has held down the last two weeks and played well at.
