Though the Los Angeles Rams came up short of their Super Bowl bid this season, just about every fan was rooting for the rival San Francisco 49ers to lose to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. And boy, did Patrick Mahomes deliver.
The Chiefs beat the 49ers, 25-22, in an overtime thriller, sending the 49ers home without a ring once again. Their Super Bowl drought will now hit 30 years, with this being the second time in five years that they’ve blown a lead in the big game.
