The Los Angeles Rams weren’t playing today but they still managed to clinch the NFC West. That’s because they got help from some friends around the NFL.
After beating the Cardinals on Saturday night, the Rams needed 2.5 wins from five specific teams. The Bills, Vikings and Commanders came through for Los Angeles, winning their games and punching the Rams’ ticket to the postseason.
It was Washington that capped the night off with an overtime win against Raheem Morris’ Falcons, winning 30-24 at home. Jayden Daniels delivered a spectacular performance, leading the Commanders down the field on the first drive of overtime to seal the win.

With the Rams now in the playoffs, they’ll have to decide whether to rest their starters in a meaningless Week 18 game against the Seahawks or play them in hopes of getting the offense on track.
Sean McVay said Saturday that he’s unsure how he would handle it, but they have some time to decide which way to go.
This is the fourth time the Rams have won the division since McVay was hired in 2017. They won it in McVay’s first year in 2017, again in 2018 and also in 2021.
