The good news is a ton of fans tuned in to watch the Los Angeles Rams take on the Buffalo Bills last Thursday night, the first game of the 2022 season. The bad news is more than 21 million people watched the Rams get stomped by the Bills at SoFi Stadium.
According to Darren Rovell of Action Network, Rams-Bills drew 21.3 million viewers on TV and digital streaming. It was the second-most watched game of the week, behind only the Buccaneers-Cowboys matchup, which was also a blowout in prime time.
It’s no surprise that the three most-watched games were all the night games, with Broncos-Seahawks coming in at No. 3 (19.8M viewers).

The Rams were on the biggest stage of the week, playing in the very first game of the new season. It’s easy to see why so many people are concerned about the state of the team after coming out and laying an egg on prime time with only 10 points scored.
However, the Rams have a golden opportunity to bounce back this week on Sunday afternoon when they face the 0-1 Falcons. That game won’t be nationally televised, so the audience will be much smaller than it was in Week 1.
