You’d be hard-pressed to find many people who picked the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams to meet in Super Bowl LVI before the season began, but here we are. The Rams beat the 49ers on Sunday to win the NFC, while the Bengals stunned the Chiefs to win the AFC title three hours prior.
The Rams will play this one at home at SoFi Stadium, and they’ll also do so as the favorites. According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Rams opened as 4.5-point favorites over the Bengals. They’re technically the road team after the NFC was the home team last year, but they’ll get to sleep in their own beds with the game being played in Inglewood.
The Over/Under is set at 49.5 points, and if you’re betting on either team to win straight-up, the Rams are -205 and the Bengals are +165. A $205 bet on the Rams will return a profit of $100, while a $100 bet on the Bengals will win $165.
The Rams failed to cover the spread against the 49ers in the NFC title game, being 3.5-point favorites. They won 20-17 on Matt Gay’s game-winning field goal, coming up a half-point shy of covering.
The Bengals were 7-point underdogs to the Chiefs and not only covered the massive spread, but won outright in overtime, 27-24.
