Rangers produced the goods against Braga and Celtic over four gruelling hours in three days but Gio van Bronckhorst's men have energised the Ibrox supporters.
The Europa League semis and Scottish Cup Final are on the horizon but the Premiership is not over yet and having sunk Celtic's Treble bid, the punters are now dreaming of an incredible hat-trick.
Andrew Lamb, Fraserburgh, said: “What a magnificent show of stamina and bravery from Rangers in Sunday's show of courage by the Ibrox side.
“Referee Madden allowed the game to be all about blood and guts , and great enjoyment. Well done Rangers.”
Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: “Congratulations must go to Rangers as they swept aside a Celtic team who should have had much sharper fitness after Rangers' prolonged European run.
“Rangers were the hungrier and fitter team and thoroughly deserved their win.
“It's not long ago Celtic fans were talking about a Treble. Although unlikely, Rangers are now the only Scottish team with a chance of a Treble this season.”
Andy Lanigan, Bishopbriggs, said: “The Hotline was packed last week with Celtic fans saying we were getting our excuses ready for a beating. Who's making excuses now? We've played more games in Europe that Celtic have in three, and we still outlasted them. But hey, going out of Europe three times in one season is still a unique Treble.”
Gary Shields, via email, said: “I’d like to congratulate Rangers on their mighty endeavours over the last four days. A mammoth 240 minutes of football and into a semi-final and a final – what a fantastic achievement.”
Joe Graham, Garrowhill, said: “Rampant Rangers proved too much for Ange's Celtic on this Hampden thriller.
“The weary legs of the European stalwarts didn’t affect them at all as they went out for the kill from kick-off. Celtic put up a show but that was all it was.
“The Europa League hopeful champions was just too much for them. A well deserved victory in the end.”
Alan McGaw, Alloa, said: “Congratulations Rangers on reaching the Cup Final. Fully deserved considering the endurance of having to play our second 120 minutes in three days.
“We actually finished stronger at full time including having the best chances in the game. John Lundstram thoroughly deserved his man of the match award and Gio’s substitutions were spot on.”
John Bruce emailed: “Rangers were supposed to be leg weary after their extra-time triumph over Braga in the Europa League on Thursday.
“But they proved to be the fitter, and much better, side against Celtic and then triumphed in another 120 minute encounter in three days.
“So Rangers march on to the Cup Final. Which now only leaves the league.”
Celtic fans are down in the dumps after their side’s display.
Paul McCormack, Coatbridge, said: “We never stop. But on Sunday we never started.
“Beaten by the hungrier team and tactically second best. A few need to up their game after that lacklustre performance.”
Fraser Davidson, Glasgow, said: “Seems a lot of Celtic players are not up for a hard 90 minutes against players who are not afraid of a tackle - too many of our team pulling out of 50/50 challenges or not going in to a tackle with any sort of conviction.”
But Martin McGarrigle, London, said: “Of course Rangers will crow and say this is the turning point in the title race.
"Celtic were without their main striker, and ended up with makeshift left and right backs in the game.
“It’ll be all change at Celtic Park when Celtic seal the double and take their title back to the East End of Glasgow.”
Hoops fans weren’t happy with Hampden ref Bobby Madden though.
Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: “Even a poor Celtic team should’ve won the game and if Cameron Carter-Vickers scored it would’ve been 2-0 and game over.
“It’s always harder to win with Bobby Madden giving them everything. As usual his performance was simply embarrassing.”
Henry Moffat, Stirling, said: “Hands up, Celtic were nowhere near their best but Bobby Madden’s latest performance needs put on a DVD with all the other games he’s won for Rangers and sent to UEFA.
“It’s now up to Celtic to speak out.”
But Willie Clark, Gifford, said: "Celtic come in fresh and get beat fair and square but it’s the referee’s fault. You couldn’t make it up.”
Chris McMenemy, Falkirk, said: “Once again Celtic lose an Old Firm game, so the media Celtic cheerleaders Chris Sutton and Kris Commons start the narrative, it's all the referee's fault.
“No wonder refs are scared to make decisions against Celtic.”
Finally, there was a warning from Hibs after their Cup defeat to Hearts.
John Scott, Grassmoor, said: “What a total letdown of a season. We started with a League Cup Final and ended with a double whammy in a week from our jammy neighbours.
“One league win since Boxing Day may yet lead to the final game against St Johnstone being a relegation play-off decider.”
