Ramayana Teaser: Namit Malhotra Responds to VFX Criticism on Ranbir Kapoor’s Rama Look

Now, producer Namit Malhotra has addressed the reactions, acknowledging both the praise and the concerns shared by audiences.

Namit Malhotra Reacts to Audience Feedback

Taking to social media, Namit Malhotra expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to the teaser. He highlighted the emotional and cultural significance of Ramayana, calling it a story deeply rooted in the hearts of billions. He shared that the team values every conversation around the film, including constructive criticism. Emphasizing the scale of the project, Namit noted that thousands of artists and collaborators are working passionately to bring the epic to life with the respect it deserves. He assured audiences that the team is внимательно listening to feedback and continuously refining the film. According to him, what viewers have seen so far is only the beginning, with much more to come as the project progresses toward its grand release.

A Film Backed by Massive Scale and Vision

Positioned as one of the most ambitious Indian films ever made, Ramayana is reportedly being produced on a staggering budget of ₹4000 crore. The film is backed by Prime Focus Studios, DNEG, and Monster Mind Creations, with Namit Malhotra and Yash serving as producers. Adding to its global appeal, the film’s music is being composed by legendary artists Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

Star-Studded Cast

The film boasts a powerful ensemble cast:

Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama

Sai Pallavi as Sita

Yash as Ravana

Sunny Deol as Hanuman

Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana

The cast also includes Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Aggarwal, Vivek Oberoi, and Lara Dutta in key roles.

Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that he will be playing a dual role in the film—both Lord Rama and Parashurama, two avatars of Lord Vishnu. He described the opportunity as “fantastic,” expressing excitement about portraying such significant mythological figures.

Release Plans

Ramayana is set to release in two parts, both planned around Diwali, making it one of the biggest cinematic events in Indian film history. With high expectations and intense scrutiny, the makers appear committed to refining every detail as they aim to deliver a visually grand and culturally resonant retelling of the epic.
