Ram Kapoor lives in Rs 20 crore sea-facing Mumbai apartment with wife Gautami, featuring a facial-recognition entry system, a private theatre, a coffin-shaped bar, smart lighting, motorised curtains and an M.F. Husain artwork

Ram Kapoor, currently appearing on Netflix’s Lock Upp , has given fans a glimpse inside his lavish Mumbai residence, which reflects his taste for modern design, technology and personal touches. The actor lives in the home with his wife, Gautami Kapoor, their children and two dogs.

Ram Kapoor’s Rs 20 crore home

According to Pinkvilla, the actor’s residence is estimated to be worth around Rs 20 crore. The luxurious property features smart-home technology, a private theatre, a distinctive bar, an expansive living room and a collection of artworks.

Where is Ram Kapoor’s home located?

The actor’s Mumbai residence offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Large curved French windows in the living room open towards a breezy balcony, bringing in natural light and offering a seaside setting.

High-tech entrance and personalised interiors

The home features a facial recognition-based keyless entry system. A camera at the entrance identifies registered residents and unlocks the door within seconds.

Near the entrance is a custom glass installation marked “42 Kapoor”, etched in Ram’s handwriting. The hallway also features a large painting positioned opposite a mirror, creating a striking visual effect.

Living room with Arabian Sea views

The spacious living room has a large L-shaped beige sofa placed beneath a statement wall painting. Curved French windows provide views of the Arabian Sea and lead to the balcony.

The adjoining dining area features brown chairs and a contemporary lighting installation. Smart lighting and motorised curtains are installed across several rooms.

Private theatre and coffin-shaped bar

One of the home’s standout spaces is “the den”, a private theatre designed in red and black. The multipurpose room doubles as a meeting space and movie lounge and features a movable television, surround sound and preset lighting modes.

The party area also houses an unusual coffin-shaped bar counter, with cabinets stocked with an extensive collection of spirits. Ram jokingly said his friends drink so much that they might eventually “end up here”.

Smart kitchen and serene bedroom

The all-white kitchen features black and brown accents and is fully air-conditioned. It also has motion-sensor dustbins and lights that respond to movement.

The master bedroom is designed as a quieter space within the home, while the guest room has a wall-mounted television. The adjoining bathroom features a distinctive red, lip-shaped sofa.

Ram Kapoor’s art collection

Art is another highlight of the residence. The collection includes an original work by renowned artist M.F. Husain.

The home also features a large portrait of Ram dressed as Pablo Escobar. He said the artwork was gifted to him after Neeyat and reminded him of his weight-loss journey.
