Rajnath Singh slams Kharge over ‘Baap’ remark on PM Modi, says Congress has hurt public sentiments

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday criticised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the comments had hurt the sentiments of crores of Indians and undermined the dignity of public life.

Reacting to Kharge’s remarks made in Patna on Sunday, Singh said he was “shocked and deeply hurt” and questioned how the national president of a party that claims to be the country’s oldest political organisation could use such language.
