Rajasthan govt appoints 44 persons to various boards & corporations

JAIPUR: The state government on Wednesday announced the long-awaited political appointments by naming 44 people to various boards and corporations. The delay in the appointment has been a friction point between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot in the past. The list shows the chief minister has accommodated some of the MLAs who could not be taken in the ministry in the last reshuffle.

Former minister and PCC president Dr Chandaban has been named as the vice chairman of the 20-point programme. Former opposition leader Rameshwar Dudi has been made the chairman of Rajasthan State Agro Industries Development Board.

Former Congress leader and Independent MLA Mahadeo Singh Kandela has been given the post of chairman of the Kisan Commission. Former minister Brij Kishor Sharma has been made chairman of the Khadi Board. While MLA Juber Khan has been made the chairperson of the Mewat Development Board, Dheeraj Gujaar has been made the chairman of the Rajasthan Seed Corporation Ltd.

MLA Rafiq Khan is the chairman of the Minorities Commission while Khiladilal Bairwa is the chairperson of the SC Commission. Mewaram Jain has been made the chairman of the Rajasthan Gauseva Aayog.
