JAIPUR: A female cub of tigress T-69 died at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve on Tuesday. The carcass was recovered from Khandar range. Preliminary reports indicate that the cub, nearly 17 months old, died in a territorial fight. Sources said the department was anticipating these fights as territories of young tigers are overlapping with adult big cats.
Ranthambore administration's fear that young tigers will die in territorial fights in the overpopulated tiger reserve turned into a reality on Tuesday when a carcass of a female cub of tigress T-69 was recovered from Khandar range.
