Rajasthan: Covid hit gene tests, boy born with spinal muscular atrophy

JAIPUR: One-and-a-half-year-old Tanishq from Nagaur district, who has been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) Type-1 is fighting for his life at JK Lon hospital. He was rushed to the hospital from Nagaur three days ago as he was gasping for breath.

Covid-19 has not only taken a toll on people’s health but has also restricted people from getting necessary tests done as was seen in Tanishq’s case.
