Rains bring down mercury, improve air quality in Delhi

Mercury New Delhi

NEW DELHI: Rains brought the mercury down in Delhi on Monday, with the maximum temperature settling at 23.6 degrees Celsius, 10 notches below normal, even as commuters battled heavy traffic on key road stretches in the city.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
