HYDERABAD: Heavy rains lashing the state since Friday claimed four lives so far, while district authorities have launched a search operation for two others, who were washed away in the stormwater. At least three persons, who went missing at Bhadradri Kothagudem district, were confirmed dead on Sunday.
The body of a 55-year-old woman, Durgamma, was found entangled in a tree near Chinnabandiveru in the district. The woman was washed away in Gubbalamangi stream on June 8 and her body was found on June 9. The body of a fisherman, V Shankar of Kodipunjula in Manuguru mandal, who was trapped in the stormwater was washed ashore even as his family, including parents and daughter, returned to safety.
