New Delhi: Delhi residents woke up to rain in parts of the city on Wednesday morning, with the minimum temperature settling at 25.4 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'yellow' alert for moderate rain during the day. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 32 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, Safdarjung, the city's base station, recorded 14.2 mm of rainfall during the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am.

Palam received 19.2 mm of rainfall, Lodhi Road 17.8 mm, Ridge 54.3 mm and Ayanagar 37.6 mm.
The minimum temperature settled at 25.4 degrees Celsius at Safdarjung, 2.5 notches below normal.
The Palam weather station recorded a low of 23.4 degrees Celsius, 4.8 notches below normal; Lodhi Road 25.2 degrees Celsius, 1.8 notches below normal; Ridge 22.1 degrees Celsius, 4.3 notches below normal; and Ayanagar 24.3 degrees Celsius, 2.4 notches below normal.
Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 73, in the 'satisfactory' category, at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
