Bruce Springsteen fans who are heading to one of his three upcoming gigs in Dublin have been warned that they could be in for some typical Irish weather.
Springsteen and the E Street Band will play the RDS Arena on Friday May 5 and Sunday May 7, with third date on Tuesday May 9.
With thousands die-hard fans getting ready for the chance to see The Boss live, rain and "thunderstorms" are threatening to dampen their spirits.
In its forecast for this week ahead, Met Eireann said to expect showers that are "heavy" at times on Friday, and a chance of isolated thunderstorms with mild temperatures of up to 19C.
The forecast for Sunday shows heavy outbreaks of showery rain building from the west later in the day with temperatures of up to 18 degrees.
It is still too early to know what weather to expect for the third Springsteen gig on Tuesday but Met Eireann have said current indications show "unsettled" weather.
However, in the event of rain, fans will either have to brave the wet weather or wear a rain mac or poncho to keep dry.
The RDS gig organisers: “Umbrellas are not permitted in the venue. In the event of adverse weather conditions, we would advise bringing a rain mac or disposable raincoat or poncho.”
They also advised fans to dress appropriately including wrapping up warm and wearing comfy shoes.
They continued: “These are outdoor events and Ireland has its fair share of rain and cool wind, so please watch the weather forecast prior to the show days and dress accordingly.
“We are hoping the sun will come out for all the shows so if this is the case, please don’t forget your sun-cream!
“RDS Arena can get colder as the day goes on so, please dress with this in mind.
"An important tip - no one likes unhappy feet at a concert right!? So, make sure to wear comfy footwear to allow for lots of dancing.”
The American singer last performed in Dublin in 2016 in Croke Park. He has played at the RDS with The E Street Band 11 times.
A third date was added to the Dublin tour dates in response to the huge demand for tickets after the first two gigs went on sale in May last year.
