Two train operators are ramping up their services to meet the growing demand for rail travel in the aftermath of relaxation of coronavirus restrictions.
Avanti West Coast and East Midlands Railway are the latest firms to reintroduce services that were cut back in December and January because of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
Staff shortages caused by the variant led to widespread cuts to timetables to reduce short-notice cancellations.
