Over the last three years, Darren Waller has firmly established himself as one of the top tight ends in the league. Since the start of the 2019 season, Waller has racked up over 3,000 receiving yards and scored 14 touchdowns.
But where does he rank among the best tight ends in the NFL? Well, it depends on who you ask.
Waller recently ranked the top five tight ends in the NFL on the All Things Covered podcast and not surprisingly, he put himself at No. 1. Behind him were Travis Kelce, Kyle Pitts, George Kittle and Mark Andrews.

It’s not a surprise that Waller would rank himself as the top tight end in the league as he is a supremely confident player and he is one of the most dynamic pass catchers in the league. While it’s tough to argue he’s a better player than Kelce, you can make a case for him over any other tight end on this list.
Waller turns 30 early in the 2022 season and he is looking to get back on track after an injury-riddled season. If the Raiders want to be a legitimate contender in the AFC, they are going to need Waller to play like the best tight end in the NFL.
