It wasn’t perfect, but the Raiders found a way to get it done. Despite Jimmy Garoppolo missing the entire second half, the Raiders were able to find a way to get a win and get back to .500.
The play of the game was made by Maxx Crosby, who sacked Mac Jones in the end zone for a safety. The Patriots were trying to put together a game-winning drive, down 19-17. But Crosby beat the right tackle around the corner for the sack to ice the game.
The defense for the Raiders continues to improve each week, allowing a total of just 30 points over the last two games. It’s been a much-improved unit compared to last year and has allowed them to get back in the hunt.
The Raiders will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears in Week 7. That game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. They are 3-3 after six games and are somehow still in contention in the AFC. With a pretty soft schedule coming up, the Raiders could quickly start to stack wins and get back into the playoff hunt in the conference.
