In just a few months, fantasy drafts will start for the 2022 season. But if you are anything like us, you probably have already done a draft or two. So who on the Raiders could prove to be a big value this year in your drafts?
One player to keep an eye on is Derek Carr, who had a career-high in passing yards last season. Carr finished as QB13 last season, but he has several massive scoring weeks throughout the season.
In a recent article by Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report, he named Carr as a huge value right now in fantasy drafts as he is currently being selected as QB16. Here is a snippet of his thoughts on Carr for the 2022 season:
“Carr is a perfect example of being rewarded for waiting on a quarterback. At his current ADP, he can be had in the 10th or 11th round depending on league size. Yet, he’s likely to put up starter-worthy numbers more consistently in a new system with a major upgrade at wide receiver.”
As we previously mentioned, Carr was QB13 last season without Davante Adams. Now that he has arguably the best receiver in the NFL on his team and a healthy Darren Waller back in the lineup, he should be a lock to finish as a top-12 quarterback.
The great part about selecting Carr is that he can be had usually after the top-100 picks. And with his passing upside, he could be a league winner in 2022.
