The Denver Broncos are trending up going into Sunday’s division game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Raiders aren’t necessarily trending down, but there is some upheaval in the locker room. Star wide receiver Davante Adams has asked to be traded, and Las Vegas has been contacting teams about a potential trade.
It remains to be seen what kind of compensation the Raiders could land in a trade, but Adams seems to be on his way out of town. Right before the Broncos game.
Denver fans will be tempted to joke that Adams is ducking a matchup with star cornerback Pat Surtain, but he’s actually played well against PS2 in the past. Adams has been a thorn in the side of the Broncos’ defense for years with 32 catches, 418 yards, three touchdowns and a 5-1 record against Denver in his career.
Las Vegas trading Adams out of the AFC West would be great news for the Broncos (and staying in the division could be a nightmare scenario). The 31-year-old receiver has totaled 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown through three games this season.
