Raheem Sterling will hope to continue his success at Manchester City with Chelsea as he returns 'home' to London. The winger has completed a £45 million move from the Premier League champions, with the potential of a further £10 million in performance-related add-ons.
Sterling is Chelsea's first addition to Thomas Tuchel's first team squad following the takeover of the club by Todd Boehly. The England international flew out to Los Angeles ahead of the announcement, having completed his medical in London over the weekend.
The 27-year-old has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, having spent the past seven seasons at the Etihad Stadium following his transfer from Liverpool. Sterling was among the Blues' priorities this summer, with Tuchel taking part in a phone call with the new signing to persuade him his future lay in west London.
