Chelsea star Raheem Sterling has outlined the qualities he believes the next manager will need to have to be successful at the club. The Blues are on the search for their third permanent manager in the past year, having dismissed Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter in that time.
A thorough process has been undertaken by the hierarchy and at this stage, Mauricio Pochettino appears to be the favourite to land the role. Sources have told football.london that there is still nothing to report regarding an imminent agreement between the Blues and Pochettino, though there have been a number of positive talks between the two parties and there is confidence that a deal can be reached.
For Pochettino to be a success though, Sterling has outlined a few traits he will have to have upon joining the club. The winger told Football Daily: "I think organisation is the most important thing. Having a manager that, you know, has the final say on everything, he does everything his way and everyone has to follow that.

"I think successful teams always have that in a manager that comes in, brings his blueprint and everyone follows and if there are people that don't follow, they're not part of the team. I think that's how brutal it needs to be at a high level cause it's the fine lines of winning or coming second or being in the position that we are now.
"So it's everyone on the same page sort of thing. So that's not my advice but just from my sort of experience."
It remains to be seen if one of those tough decisions could relate to Sterling's own future at Stamford Bridge, given his tough start to life at the club. He struggled once again in the clash against Arsenal and came under fire with some criticism, alongside Frank Lampard giving his own thoughts.
"The game for Raheem, and Joao Felix was a tough match," Lampard said after the game. "The system we played defensively, the lads of got a lot of work. Their main threat, sometimes we counter-attack and protect the ball. It was a difficult night for us at the top end of the pitch. Joao is a big talent, as is Raheem, I'm not here to criticise upon it too much. We'll go away and analyse it."
It remains to be seen what the future holds for both the club and Sterling, with some difficult choices to be made across the whole squad.
