What happens if rival moves for Jude Bellingham, Liverpool formation change and your questions answered
Liverpool’s preparations for the 2022/23 season began on Monday as 19 senior players returned to Kirkby for pre-season. After the initial sessions, the Reds then set off on their tour of Bangkok and Singapore next weekend.
New signings Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay were among those returning and they will be assessed by Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff over the coming days. A number of Liverpool’s players have been given extra-time off by the club and will report to Kirkby later this week.
After conducting their transfer business in swift fashion with the acquisitions of Carvalho, Ramsay and Darwin Nunez, the big news from the club dropped on Friday when it was confirmed that Mohamed Salah had signed a new three-year deal at the club.

The ECHO understands that the 30-year-old will indeed earn less than £400k a week , with his new deal heavily incentivised so he could earn more based on player performance.

In truth, it must be said, the deal which was orchestrated by manager Manuel Pellegrini and City officials - with help from Three Lions team-mate Joe Hart, which seemed like a hefty fee at the time - will no doubt go down as one of the finest business transactions the Etihad has ever seen following his 131-goal return.
Following the completion of his move to Manchester, the 27-year-old acknowledged his ambition to accumulate a haul of trophies as the most prominent motivation behind his decision to leave Liverpool, the club joined in 2010 aged 15, not his financial desires.
