An irate woman sank her teeth into a policeman's hand after she responded to a call about her throwing food during a work party event, a court heard this week.

Raging Scotswoman Lianne Bell, 40, attended a Christmas party at the Grosvenor Hotel in Edinburgh on December 23, in which she reportedly catapulted trifle - alongside sausage rolls and other foods - during a chaotic episode.

Police were immediately called to the West End landmark and found the thrown food strewed all over the floor, reports the Daily Record.
