Leeds Festival 2022 has lost a headliner with Rage Against The Machine announcing they have been forced to drop out.
They were supposed to be headlining at Bramham Park alongside Arctic Monkeys, Dave, Megan Thee Stallion, Rage Against The Machine, Halsey and Bring Me The Horizon. Thousands are expected at Leeds Festival 2022, which will be taking place between Friday, 26 August and Sunday, August 28, with the news sure to disappoint many.
The band posted a statement online stating the decision has been taken on medical grounds. They have pulled their upcoming European tour performances after frontman Zack de la Rocha injured his leg mid-performance in Chicago.

“It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation,” the band said in their statement.
“Zack must return home for rest and rehabilitation (following the New York shows). The flights, travel time and rigorous schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too much of a risk for a complete recovery.
“We are sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us, and hope to Rage again soon.”
The team behind Leeds Festival and its sister event Reading Festival have yet to confirm who will replace Rage Against The Machine. We will bring you more when we have further information.
