A pair of RAF Typhoon fighter jets have been spotted flying over Scotland after squawking a "quick" reaction alert.
Taking off from RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, the aircraft used a 1307 squawk code, which signals NATO air policing.
The fighter jets were seen across northern Scotland and made their way towards the Outer Hebrides on Tuesday, April 12.
