The RAF's deputy chief has been suspended over allegations he flashed his behind at his neighbours.
Air Marshal Andrew Turner is alleged to have stood naked in the garden of his £1.4million home in Berkshire.
Sources said the married 54-year-old was questioned by police after a neighbour accused the ex-special forces' commander of mooning at them.
Simon Herbert, 54, his partner Lesley Stevens, 52, and another family member said they were “shocked and disgusted” by the alleged show.
The dad-of-two was seen by the neighbours in August 2021 naked in the garden of his cottage near Caversham, Berks., it has been claimed.
A source told The Sun : “Turner’s neighbour saw him watching him and his family from his garden.
"He was on his own land but he was naked. He bared his backside at Simon.”
Mr Turner, who has been tipped to become the next RAF chief, was “suspended from duty” after telling his boss Chief Air Marshal Mike Wigston about the police investigation.
A message sent to all RAF station commanders two weeks ago said he had “stepped back due to a personal matter”.
It was believed he was served a community resolution order last Thursday and had to apologise in writing to the family.
The source added: “They received a letter on Friday but it was one line. It wasn’t even an apology.”
An RAF spokesperson told The Mirror: "We are aware of a matter involving a RAF Officer, which has been subject to a police investigation.
"The officer has been suspended from duty without prejudice.”
The Mirror Online has contacted Thames Valley Police for comment.
