Radical Premier League plan could have major impact on Nottingham Forest

The days of Nottingham Forest fans following their team on Sky Sports and BT Sport could be over in the future amid reports that the Premier League are considering showing games on their own platform.

Sky have been an ever-present broadcasting partner for the Premier League since its inception in 1992 while BT Sport have been showing top-flight football since their launch in 2013.

Forest matches have been broadcast on both platforms across large parts of the past 30 years. But according to Mirror Online It’s likely there will be just one more multi-partner deal before the Premier League cut out the middle men and run the show themselves.

They claim that is still some way in the future, though, and won’t initially affect supporters who are currently having to invest in Sky Sports, BT Sport and Amazon Prime to watch every Premier League game.

They also claim that other networks including DAZN and Disney+ could enter the bidding for the next contract.
