Andrew was among the winners again on Friday and has four stats-based selections on Saturday, November 23rd…

HAYDOCK 12.40

EDEN DU HOUX (system – David Pipe break-returning chasers, October to January)

David Pipe does well with early-season (October to January) break returners over fences, with those who had been rested for at least 150 days landing 78 of their 358 starts (21.8% strike-rate) for a profit of £139.71 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 52.32, A/E = 1.49). EDEN DU HOUX only had the one run last term, finishing fourth to Triple Trade at Ascot 336 days ago, but he’ll appreciate the drop down to Class 3 level having gone close at Sandown (half-length second at 11-1) off a 4lb higher mark when last running in this grade.

HAYDOCK 1.50

TRELAWNE (system – Kim Bailey, early-season break returners)

Kim Bailey has a fine recent record in early-season (October to December) jumps races with horses returning from a break of 150 days or longer, scoring with 33 of the 130 qualifiers since 2021 for a profit of £50.50 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 21.33, A/E = 1.55). TRELAWNE, who is three from three on his seasonal debuts, is taken to give favourite Iroko a race on his comeback in this graduation chase.

HUNTINGDON 2.38

MAGIC SEVEN (system – Jonjo O’Neill, handicap hurdles, Huntingdon)

In the past five years, Jonjo O’Neill has an 11 rom 35 record in handicap hurdles at Huntingdon and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £13.43 to a £1 level stake at SP. He was three from six with last-time out winners and MAGIC SEVEN, successful at Exeter earlier this month, can follow up.

ASCOT 3.20

MARTATOR (system – Venetia Williams handicap chases in November)

This century (prior to Friday’s racing), Venetia Williams is 127 from 640 (19.8%) with her handicap chasers in the month of November and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £199.59 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 95.22, A/E = 1.33).  MARTATOR contributed with a 6-1 victory over course and distance on November 2nd, his fourth straight win, and the seven-year-old can complete the five-timer.
