Kushaiguda police and Malkajgiri special operations team busted a gang allegedly involved in forging sale deed documents. It recovered 10 fake documents, ₹ 10.4 lakh cash, fake government stamps and seals, among other material.
Nine of the 11 accused were arrested and booked for cheating, forgery and related violations.
Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, disclosing the finding on Tuesday, said the market value of the seized 10 documents was about ₹ 20 crore.
The accused identify vacant plots where the actual owners have been away and not claimed for long. They then obtain certified copies to prepare fake and forged documents. As part of the plan, the gang also makes fake Aadhaar cards with around the same age of the original vendor, and execute sale. Later they create disputes between the two parties and demand money.
The identified plots were located in Cherlapally gram panchayat and Nadergul village. Other land documents also pointed to locations at Banjara Hills, Kondapur, Madhapur Ayyapa society, RC Puram, Saleem Nagar, Turkayamjal and Malakpet.
The arrested accused include Bomma Rama Rao, Boddu Srinivas, Gaddam Shyam Rao, Sudhagani Kumara Swamy, Ganta Rajashekar, Merugu Janaiah, Aavula Balraj, Vallapu Krishna and Nousu Sridhar.
