A rabbit has unbelievably managed to survive travelling more than 30 miles in a car’s grill after it was struck by the vehicle. The driver who hit the rabbit had been oblivious he was carrying an animal on the front of his car until he was told three hours later.
Mark Pearson had been driving from Pwllheli to Bangor on Tuesday when he heard a “dreaded thump” in Nefyn. He said he slowed down and looked in his mirror but couldn’t see anything in the road and had thought if he had hit something that it had run away.
When he got to Bangor and parked his car he was still unaware of what had happened and went into work. But later that day Mr Pearson was informed of a rabbit struggling in his car grill - and remarkably it had survived the ordeal.
