Quote of the day by Peter Max, "Get into your own creativity. Sketch and paint with different mediums and follow your heart," is a reminder that creativity is not reserved for people who already consider themselves artists. It is an invitation to explore, experiment and discover what naturally emerges when judgment is replaced by curiosity. Max, whose vibrant paintings, posters and graphic designs became closely associated with the colorful visual culture of the 1960s, built a career around experimentation and an unmistakably personal artistic language. His life demonstrates that creativity can develop through observation, education, practice and a willingness to explore unfamiliar directions. His official biography describes a lifelong fascination with both art and astronomy, two interests that eventually became important sources of inspiration for his work.
The phrase “get into your own creativity” begins with a deeply personal idea: creative expression does not have to imitate somebody else. It can be an opportunity to discover what an individual sees, feels and imagines. In a world filled with comparisons, artistic experimentation provides a space where there does not have to be one correct answer. A sketch does not need to become a masterpiece, and a painting does not need to satisfy everyone who sees it. The value can exist in the process itself. By putting an idea onto paper or canvas, people can learn more about their instincts and preferences. Creativity therefore becomes less about proving talent and more about developing a relationship with one's own imagination.
