Quote of the day by Kevin Costner comes from the 1996 film Tin Cup, in which Costner played Roy McAvoy, a golf professional. The line says, “When a defining moment comes along, you define the moment, or the moment defines you.” The quote is about what people do when they face pressure, fear or an important decision. It presents two choices. A person can act and take responsibility for the outcome, or remain passive and allow the situation to decide what happens. The message connects personal power with courage, action, choice and character.
