CT Fletcher, the powerlifter and motivational speaker known for his intense workout videos, captured that idea directly. "Everything is impossible, until someone crazy enough comes along and makes it possible," he said. The word "crazy" here is not really about irrational behaviour. It describes someone genuinely willing to challenge accepted limits and keep pursuing an idea even when conventional thinking insists it simply cannot be done. Fletcher himself is a fairly striking example of the idea in action, a former US Army serviceman who took up weightlifting in his twenties and went on to become a world champion powerlifter, later building an entirely unexpected second career from viral videos of his own intense training sessions well into his sixties, long after most people assume that particular chapter of a person's life has already closed.
