Quite a Ride has you cycling through a Stranger Things-like mystery, but beware, "If you stop moving for too long, the fog and what hides inside it catches up to you"

Quite a Ride.

The developers behind the upcoming psychological horror Quite a Ride, where a bike is "your only lifeline," have dropped into the Future Games Show's Spring Showcase powered by HyperX to delve into what their game is all about.

As part of a segment, Goodwin Games teases that you'll need to keep cycling to keep your phone charged up as you seek to leave a fog-covered zone, known as a Blind Spot.

"This is a game about dread, tension, and enigma," Goodwin Games teases. "Where exploration fits the mystery."

Between all the huffing and puffing you'll be doing while cycling, there are anomalies to research and cryptic messages to decode. All of this is done in hopes of finding a way out.

"You're alone, it's dark, and you're never safe," a developer continues. "If you stop moving for too long, the fog and what hides inside it catches up to you."

As for our mysterious setting, Goodwin Games isn't spoiling much right now, though one developer has said it's a space where logic doesn't work as it should. Case in point, the landscape is in a near-constant state of shifting, so getting your bearings might be tricky.

All of this makes puzzle solving tricky, though persevere you must to find a way out. Through doing just that, and recording the odd anomalies you'll find along the way, you'll eventually be able to piece together what's going on. Just be wary that not all the anomalies are friendly, but that's okay – what else is a bike for but as means for a speedy exit?
