Quirky Edinburgh home with unique home office in former schoolhouse hits the market

A charming Edinburgh property in a former schoolhouse has joined the market, just five miles from the city centre.

Old Lennie Schoolhouse sits in the suburb of Cammo, and benefits from an expansive garden and unique home office. Along with the property, there is also a chance to purchase the surrounding land.

After joining the market on March 23, the home was priced at £795,000.

Take a look inside the home below.

Ellisons, who are currently advertising the home, said: “An exceptionally unusual and quirky detached former schoolhouse and buildings situated near to the metropolitan village of Cammo and situated within close proximity to Edinburgh city centre.

“The house benefits from a large garden, and significant garaging which would lend itself to a hybrid work option or a classic car collection. There is also a separate piece of land, available by separate negotiation, which could be purchased from the current owner to extend further light industrial buildings or build a separate dwelling.

“This is subject to gaining the necessary planning consents.”

Each room in the home is different to the others, with various styles and colours used throughout. Externally, parts of the property are painted blue - others orange, some red.

Cammo, which sits on the west side of Edinburgh, boasts many opportunities for walks in green spaces and transport options for getting into the city centre.
