A lot of questions were raised about the new regime’s opinion on former first-round pick Jahan Dotson after he played significant time into the second quarter in the Commanders’ preseason opener.
On Thursday, when head coach Dan Quinn was asked about the starting wide receiver spot opposite Terry McLaurin he said they are “in the middle of” a search for their second wide receiver.
He immediately mentioned that he has been impressed with Olamide Zaccheaus whom Quinn coached on the Atlanta Falcons in 2019 and 2020.
Could Dotson be the next Ron Rivera draft pick who falls casualty to the new coaching staff?
Dan Quinn said they are “in the middle of” the search for WR2. A lot of players in the mix. He mentioned the good camp Olamide Zaccheaus has had.

The Commanders are in Miami for a joint practice with the Dolphins ahead of their preseason game on Saturday. Dotson joins fellow former first-round picks Jamin Davis and Emmanuel Forbes as players with a lot to prove the remainder of this preseason.
