Drivers are being warned of congested traffic on the M56 tonight on May 25.
Two lanes are currently closed on the motorway, heading eastbound between junction 14 and junction 12. The closures will affect those heading to Chester Services/Helsby and Runcorn.
There is approximately one mile of congestion on the approach to the incident. It has been reported by National Highways, at 8.53pm, that this is due to an overturned caravan.

An image shared by National Highways on Twitter showed that the caravan has been smashed up, with pieces of debris littering the road. The picture showed considerable damage to the caravan as only a part of it looked to remain intact.
A Twitter user commented that the caravan hit the central reservation. They wrote: "Son was stuck In the traffic, he's moving again now and just gone past it. He said the caravans hit the central reservation and it's completely smashed up. Poor owners, hope they're OK"
