Queensland solar farm tapped to power technology giant

Retail giant Amazon has revealed plans to sponsor a Queensland solar farm larger than 700 football fields and capable of powering more than 60,000 Australian homes each year.

The company on Wednesday announced it had partnered with renewable firm Vena Energy to launch commercial operations at its Woleebee project in Queensland's Western Downs region.
