A postmaster for the late Queen has told how she was "great craic" and once played a prank on him where she whacked him with a spoon.
Mick Delaney spent 19 years at Buckingham Palace and looks back fondly at the time which he said was like being in one big family and that "they were so normal in many ways".
He said how the Queen remembered faces and would put people at ease when they met her, reported the Irish Mirror.
