The Queen “nailed” her Paddington Bear sketch and showed off her great sense of humour, Mike Tindall has said.
Married to the Queen’s eldest granddaughter Zara Phillips, former England rugby star, Mike, 43, praised the monarch, 96, for her comedic timing at the Platinum Jubilee.
On The Good Bad & The Rugby podcast, he said: “She’s officially now a qualified actor – that was probably the best thing.
“The drones were pretty good to be fair, but then that [Paddington sketch] was bang on. She was bang on. I’ve always said she was funny, but she nailed it.”
His eldest children Mia, eight, and Lena, three, stayed up for the Party at the Palace concert, but he also addressed four-year-old Prince Louis’ antics during the two-and-a-half-hour Platinum Pageant on Sunday.
Mike was seen playfully interacting with the restless youngster who pulled funny faces, stood on his seat and was later seen bouncing on his grandfather Prince Charles’ knee during the special parade.
He said: “Louis was just wanting to have fun. There was a lot of sweets out back though, so they had complete sugar highs.”
