Huge plans for the 'biggest thank you party ever' on the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend are being unveiled today.
The 'National Thank You Day', planned for June 5, aims to organise street parties across the UK in celebration of the Queen's 70 years on the throne.
Other celebrations previously announced include the 95-year-old monarch opening her private estates to the public, and some of the world’s biggest stars performing outside Buckingham Palace.

The plans for what was described on Good Morning Britain (GMB) as the 'biggest thank you party ever' are being backed by celebrities including TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh, The Great British Bake Off’s Prue Leith and former EastEnder Ross Kemp.
Appearing on GMB this morning, Kemp, 57, explained what the event is for: "Mainly it's thank you to our Queen who has served for 70 years. I think her resilience has become our resilience, her strength in times of trouble has become our strength, and I think her sense of duty has been reflected in so many over the last two years.
"It's a big thank you to her, but it's also a big thank you, if you wish, to staff at the NHS, key workers, people who have volunteered, neighbours who have gone round and just checked on people and, by golly, do we need a big party right now."
It was estimated that approximately ten million people celebrated the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 as well as the wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981, while the Diamond Jubilee in 2012 saw an estimated 8.5 million Brits celebrate.
It is hoped that the events in celebration of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee will be even bigger than previous ones.
From May 12 to 15, more than 500 horses and 1,000 performers are expected to take part in a show on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which will take the audience through history from Elizabeth I to the present day.
More ceremonies are to take place later in the year, with the main celebrations starting on Thursday, June 2, the first day of the special four-day bank holiday, when the Queen’s Birthday Parade (Trooping the Colour) will take place in Horse Guards Parade.
On the same day, the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and UK Overseas Territories will come together to light a beacon at the same time as the principal beacon at Buckingham Palace.
On Friday, June 3, a Service of Thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign will be held at St Paul’s Cathedral, before the star-studded Platinum Party At The Palace on Saturday, June 4.
The street parties will then take place on Sunday, June 5 as a thank you to the Queen, as well as all those who have done crucial work - paid or unpaid - to help the country through the pandemic.
