There are now just days to to go until the huge Platinum Party at The Palace concert, in honour of the Queen's Jubilee.
The massive gig on Saturday, June 4, is the jewel in the crown of the celebrations to mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's 70 years on the throne and tickets for it have long since being snapped up, with a ballot opening in February and 10,000 members of the public chosen to go. When those interested in going to the event in front of Buckingham Palace pinned their hopes on getting tickets, they didn't have a clue who was going to be on stage at the Platinum Jubilee extravaganza.
But, late on Wednesday, May 18, the cat was let out of the Jubilee bag in serious style, when BBC Press posted a flyer with a stellar roster of music icons on it. The Platinum Party at the Palace bill reads like a who's who of generation spanning music icons, with big names from a whole host of genres.

For what will be the highlight of the BBC's Queen's Platinum Jubilee coverage, legends like Diana Ross, Elton John and Rod Stewart will share the stage with current chart regulars like Mabel, Jax Jones and George Ezra, while there's also a place on the bill for Eurovision hero Sam Ryder.
