Princes Charles and his son, William pair tribute to Her Majesty during heartfelt speeches in what was an iconic event on Saturday evening.
In his own speech, Charles thanked his mother for “lifetime of selfless service” adding: "You have met us and talked with us. You laugh and cry with us and, most importantly, you have been there for us, for these 70 years.
"You pledged to serve your whole life - you continue to deliver. That is why we are here. That is what we celebrate tonight."
Paying tribute to his grandmother, William echoed the Queen's words from her speech to the Cop26 UN Climate Change summit, when she said working together in a "common cause" always gave rise to hope.
Opening the show, the Queen delighted millions of viewers by appearing in a surprise comic sketch with Paddington Bear to kick-start the Jubilee concert where the pair disucssed their love of marmalade sandwiches. Rock group, Queen and Adam Lambert then continued the show with musical hit “We Will Rock You”.
Earlier in the day William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge met the performers and crew involved in the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert taking place on the grounds of Cardiff Castle.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex also travelled to Northern Ireland where they attended a 1950s-themed celebration, before then heading to Bangor which has received city status.
