Queen's Park and Partick Thistle have discovered their Scottish Cup third round opponents.
The Scottish Championship duo have been included at this stage of the draw as they learn their first opponent as they dream of going on an extended cup run. For the Spiders it as an away clash at Peterhead and for Thistle it's a showdown with Kelty Hearts. Ian McCall's Jags reached the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final before suffering defeat at Aberdeen and they will hope to give the Firhill faithful another number of cup ties to remember.
Owen Coyle and his troops are adjusting to life as a Championship team and sit just one point off the summit in Scotland's second tier after a big win over Partick Thistle at the weekend. A Scottish Cup run is always a welcomed distraction from league duty and it can prove a nice money spinner for the clubs involved. The third round takes centre stage on the weekend of November 26 while the top flight is in cold storage due to the World Cup finals in Qatar.
