The Royal Family are known for their no-nonsense attitude, from Prince Philip swearing at a photographer to the late Queen Mother's 'outrageous' remark to Prince William.
And even The Queen herself has made a wide array of one-liners and sassy comebacks during her 70-year reign, and they show the iconic monarch has a keen sense of humour.
She's been mistaken for a queen lookalike and being quick on her feet during mishaps, and thankfully many of her quips have been recorded for prosperity.

The chance meeting
As was widely reported at the time, The Queen was once walking around Balmoral with a protection officer when an American tourist bumped into her, but had no idea who she was.
They asked: "Have you ever met the Queen?"
And she replied: "No", before pointing at her security guard, adding: "But he has."

The Egg Preference
Back in 1986, when The Queen was visiting New Zealand, protesters pelted her late husband Prince Philip with eggs and later the pair sat down for a state banquet.
During the fancy meal, she commented on the food, saying: "New Zealand has long been renowned for its dairy produce, though I should say that I myself prefer my New Zealand eggs for breakfast.”
The Music Review
According to The Wicked Wit of Queen Elizabeth I , the Queen was once watching the Everly Brothers during a Royal Variety Performance and she leaned over to give a review.
To her, their rendition of "Cathy's Clown" sounded like "two cats being strangled".
The Crown
Not many people in this world know what it's like to wear a crown, except for maybe in fancy dress. But The Queen gave a rare insight into what it's like to have those priceless jewels on your head when she was asked by royal commentator Alastair Bruce about wearing it during a documentary.
But instead, she turned it into a joke, saying: "You can’t look down to read the speech - if you did, your neck would break.”
No Regrets
And best of all, who could forget the 'nah' video, where the monarch answered a question and viewers thought she'd forgotten she was the Queen for a second.
She was posing for a portrait to mark her 80th birthday and during a short clip, she said she could see herself ageing.
The artist then asked her: "Does that upset you?", and the Queen replied: "Nah."
The clip has gone viral, with many people laughing about the monarch's casual answer.
A TikTok user captioned the video: "The Queen answering a question like every bloke in the UK."
