Queens’ Iain Wilson capped his comeback with a penalty goal in their shootout then told how the team are targeting the title.
The Doonhamer returned from injury in the club’s 4-2 penalty win over Premiership side St Johnstone following a 2-2 draw.
Wilson is thirsting for a rapid return to the Championship with the Doonhamers and added: “I think after you have been relegated you want to bounce back straight away.
“But it is a hard league and it always is. But hopefully we can do well.”
And Wilson said of his own return: “It’s very good to be back – I was out with a wee calf muscle problem.
“It was frustrating because you always want to do a good, big pre-season.
“I was sure we would get the three points, but we will take the two.
“It has just been frustrating being out but now I am back and pushing to get in the team which has been doing well particularly when they were on the ball the other week against Ayr and I thought they were very good against St Johnstone. It was good to score all four penalties and I would rather take one than not.”
