Queen Elizabeth II to be lowered into 16ft underground vault to rest with Prince Phillip

The Queen's coffin is set to be lowered inside a 16ft vault on Monday evening where she will be reunited with the Duke of Edinburgh.

Her Majesty will be taken to her final resting place on September 19 following her state funeral, which saw thousands line the streets to pay their respects.

Following the same passage through the quire as the Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Elizabeth will be taken to St George's Chapel just 17 months after her husband.
