Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II at Balmoral on Thursday (September 8) many have paid tribute to the late monarch often quoted as being a "constant" throughout their lives.
Shops and other businesses throughout the UK have also been sending their condolences to the Royal Family following her passing.
Many retailers, both local and chains, have decided to observe reduced hours or shut completely for the full day on the Queen's funeral to allow staff to pay their respects.

It comes as the UK is in an official period of national mourning.
With many set to shut their doors on Monday, here are the closures and restrictions in place across the UK.
Restrictions on the day of Queen Elizabeth II's funeral
Glasgow Airport
Some flights at Heathrow have been changed with shops in the airport also affected. Glasgow Airport however will remain open but have confirmed that some shops will close.

Gyms
JD Gyms have said that they will be closing for a short period of time. In their post they wrote that they would only close for a few hours.
PureGym also said they would be doing the same. Taking to Instagram they wrote: "Our gyms will be closed between 10:00 and 14:00 on Monday 19th September so that our colleagues can pay their respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Opening hours will return to normal from Tuesday 20th September.
"Please check your local gym profile for exact opening hours at your gym."
Driving tests cancelled
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency issued an urgent update regarding all driving tests on Monday, September 19.
The DVSA has confirmed that all practical and theory tests are suspended.

Eating out and takeaways
Fast food chains such as McDonald's have announced that they will close on September 19. Greggs also confirmed their closure.
In a tweet they wrote: "To give our colleagues the opportunity to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Greggs shops will be closed on Monday 19th September. A small number of our shops, operated by our franchise partners, may remain open. Thanks for your understanding."
Costa Coffee tweeted: "As a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, all wholly owned Costa Coffee stores will close on Monday 19th September. Some stores, operated by our partners, may remain open. All Costa Express machines will be switched on in those retailers that remain open."
Starbucks UK also tweeted: "To support our partners (employees) and ensure they are able to pay their respects to HM Queen Elizabeth II, we will be closing all company owned Starbucks stores in the UK between 11am and 2pm on Monday 19th September."
Hospital, GP and dentist appointments
Due to it being declared a bank holiday, many people are having their GP, hospital and dentist appointments cancelled. This isn't the case for everyone though and people should check that their appointment is still going ahead.
As previously reported by Glasgow Live, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have said that plans are being put in place to ensure scheduled appointments can continue as planned 'wherever possible'.
A spokesperson for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said: "The announcement that Monday 19 September will be the state funeral of Her Majesty the Queen, and as such, a bank holiday, NHSGGC is currently putting plans in place so that scheduled appointments can continue as planned wherever possible.
"As plans progress in the coming days, we will publish any further relevant guidance and patient information via our website and social media channels."

Funerals
Social media has seen a backlash when it comes to funerals with many said to be cancelled if it was set to take place on September 19.
Glasgow City Council however have said any funerals already confirmed with the council’s bereavement services for Monday, September 19 will go ahead as scheduled.
The statement followed concerns on social media with The National Association of Funeral Directors stating: "Some funerals will go ahead, others are moving to a different date - led by the needs and wishes of the bereaved families involved."

Shopping, supermarkets and petrol stations
Many supermarkets will observe reduced hours on this day while some will close completely. The same also applies to petrol stations such as Morrisons. The supermarket giant said they will turned down 'beep' sounds at their checkouts as a mark of respect.
Other stores such as Primark, Poundland and IKEA will also close.

Royal Mail
All Royal Mail services will be suspended across the country whilst the 114 Post Office branches run by the service will close on the day of the funeral while others run by the likes of WH Smith, Tesco, Co-Op and Spar are also likely to close.
Bin collections
Glasgow bin collections will be suspended next week due to the Queen's funeral.
The council has said that essential services will continue on Monday but other services will close. While cleansing operations for parks and street bins will go ahead as planned, there will be no domestic pick-ups.
A spokesman said: “Household bin collections will not go ahead as scheduled on the 19th. We are currently working on plans to minimise the impact on residents and further information will be shared as soon as it is available.”

Schools
As confirmed by the Council, schools and nurseries will be closed. Surrounding areas including East Renfrewshire have also confirmed schools with be closed on September 19.

Cinemas
All cinemas across the UK will remain closed on the day of the state funeral however some, such as Vue, will stay open but only show one screening of the Queen's funeral live. Tickets for Glasgow have already sold out. You can read the full story here.
Museums
The majority of museums and public gardens will be closed for the funeral, including the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. In addition, the National Trust for Scotland has confirmed their buildings and gardens will be closed.
